When did it suddenly become cool to hate everything? It's a growing problem, especially in the entertainment world, and no one benefits from an increasingly hard to please, pessimistic audience.

Dear Mr. President,
Come take a walk with me. Let's pretend we're just two people and You're not better than me. I'd like to ask you some questions if we can speak honestly. What do you feel when you see all the homeless on the street? Who do you pray for at night before you go to sleep? What do you feel when you look in the mirror? Are you proud? How do you sleep while the rest of us cry? How do you dream when a mother has no chance to say goodbye? How do you walk with your head held high? Can you even look me in the eye And tell me why? Dear Mr. President, Were you a lonely boy? Are you a lonely boy? Are you a lonely boy? How can you say No child is left behind? We're not dumb and we're not blind. They're all sitting in your cells While you pave the road to hell. What kind of father would take his own daughter's rights away? And what kind of father might hate his own daughter if she were gay? I can only imagine what the first lady has to say You've come a long way from whiskey and cocaine. How do you sleep while the rest of us cry? How do you dream when a mother has no chance to say goodbye? How do you walk with your head held high? Can you even look me in the eye? Let me tell you 'bout hard work Minimum wage with a baby on the way Let me tell you 'bout hard work Rebuilding your house after the bombs took them away Let me tell you 'bout hard work Building a bed out of a cardboard box Let me tell you 'bout hard work Hard work Hard work You don't know nothing 'bout hard work Hard work Hard work Oh How do you sleep at night? How do you walk with your head held high? Dear Mr. President, You'd never take a walk with me. Would you? -- yah this is a very sad song D: its so sad (0)barrack (8)obama [link] |

(Not that the 'No Child Left Behind Act' even relates to the pictured situation in any form at all by the way)

thanx for all the fun
No Child Left Behind has been a largely successful initiative. I'm sure one could locate some pitfalls in the system or those who would disagree, but the statistics since it's inactment speak for themselves:
Grades, as a whole are up among students of virtually every level.
Drop-out rates have plummeted.
Students in lower class settings are closing the educational gap that has existed between themselves and upper class/private schools for decades.
Why do you feel it's a failure? Or were you pointing that the battles in Iraq, etc. are failures? I'd be glad to speak on that given my experience from serving there for 2 years.
As a 4th year economics major, all the talk is focused on the election and the devastation that Obama-nomics could (will) have.
May I ask why you're voting that ticket?

second i ment the iraq war it is not right.
3rd i am voting for obama because he will help out our country more than mccain thats for sure. mccian is planning to stay dependent on foreign oil also obama claims that he is going to cut taxes for middle or low class people. that i dont think he can do as easily as he states. i am very cocerned about our ecenomic downfall. that i dont think either of them could fix tho. but obama would be better off as a president because mccain is just like president bush.

We have removed a dictator and military who were committing mass genocide on it's own people. How could that possibly be deemed as wrong? The insurgency has dwindled considerably and at current, we are only occupying 5 sectors (which is roughly about 10% of the country). The Iraqi citizens are running and (mostly) defending a democratic society on their own which is much like our own, but still has some differences which are based on Muslim and Islamic beliefs. The people are happy, and we should be happy for them.
As for McCain, he is not planning to stay dependent on foreign oil. I don't know what you've been reading, but every single speech of his or Governor Palin's, you will hear a staunch chant of "Drill here. Drill now." and a message of dire need of energy independence. It's been one of his top 3 ideals that has been strongly pushed from the start, along with the economy, and security. I don't know how you could have missed it?
Adversely, Senator Obama is not for drilling domestically. Here it for yourself - [link]
He is also nothing like President Bush. He has had numerous disagreements with Bush on several issues. So much so that he asked Bush not to even speak on his behalf at the RNC or otherwise.
Just look at their voting trends. The proof is in black and white.
I sincerely hope that you take a closer look at the issues and some actual data prior to voting.
